He is survived by: his wife Teresa Nixon Mowdy; his daughters, Rachel Lawrence and Emily-Ann Higginbotham (Jacob); his grandchildren, Lucy Higginbotham, Jackson Higginbotham, Jensen Higginbotham, Annagrace Lawrence, Elena Higginbotham and Rollin Lawrence; his sister Carolyn Mowdy; his nephews, Jonathan and Michael York; his niece Jennifer; and his siblings-in-law, Johnny Nixon (Kathy), Mary White (James) and Tammy Howell (Michael). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
