He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Reginald Currie, Jr. and Mildred Lucille Grayson; his former wife Ellen Yvonne Currie (Bonnie); and his brother Edwin Morrow Currie. He is survived by: his wife Opal Rushing Currie; his daughter Wendelyn Currie (Wendy); his stepsons, Brad Lewis (Tracey) and Marty Lewis (Jessica Magee); his grandchildren, Ben Lewis (Miette), Paul Lewis (Meredith), Mary Catherine Webb (Jordan), Kate Elizabeth Lewis and Caden Lewis; and his sister Linda Jamison (David). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Wayne's memory to the General Memorial Fund at First Methodist Church of Pascagoula.
