It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie Augustine Cox DeMetz of Pass Christian, Mississippi, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, August Cox and Lillian Cox of Pass Christian, Mississippi.; and her husband Fred "Dedo" DeMetz. She is survived by: her children, Fred DeMetz (Susan), Dianne Winfield (Scott), Charlotte Ladner (Wade), Susan Lamberg (late Greg Lamberg) and Laura Castiglia (Alvin); her grandchildren, Jackie Plaisance (Shane), Tara White (Jason), Hannah Oliver (Charles), Aimee Mclendon (Jonathan), John Erwin (Nancy), Jamie Graham (Christian), Luke Hanna, Greg Lamberg, Brittany Klause (Zach), David DeMetz, Rodney Ladner (Andrea) and Tara Smith (Josh); and her great grandchildren, John Charles, Brantley, Ann Colleen Erwin, Grace, Adam Oliver, Carter, Lillian Mclendon, Gabrielle White, Braxton, Shire Lamberg, Zoey and Teagan Smith.
