It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie Augustine Cox DeMetz of Pass Christian, Mississippi, who passed away on May 28, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, August Cox and Lillian Cox of Pass Christian, Mississippi.; her husband Fred "Dedo" DeMetz; and her children, Fred DeMetz (Susan), Dianne Winfield (Scott), Charlotte Ladner (Wade), Susan Lamberg (late Greg Lamberg) and Laura Castiglia (Alvin).
She is survived by: her siblings, Esther, Vivian, Hazel, Elliott and Bernie; her grandchildren, Jackie Plaisance (Shane), Tara White (Jason), Hannah Oliver (Charles), Aimee Mclendon (Jonathan), John Erwin (Nancy), Jamie Graham (Christian), Luke Hanna, Greg Lamberg and Brittany Klause (Zach); and her great grandchildren, John Charles, Brantley, Ann Colleen Erwin, Grace, Adam Oliver, Carter, Lillian Mclendon, Gabrielle White, Braxton, Shire Lamberg, Zoey and Teagan Smith.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Long Beach City Cemetery E 1st (217-107 Girard Ave, Long Beach, MS 39560).
