Elizabeth McCartney Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth McCartney in Pass Christian, Mississippi, who passed away on April 23, 2026 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara Jackson Strother and Brownlow Jackson, Jr. (Liz); her grandmother Liza M. Jackson; her sister Jo-Ann Winquest; her former husband Bob; and her husband Clay (Clay).

She is survived by: her cousin William B. Harbeson, III; her aunt Frances Harbeson; her children, Lynda Barrett and Steven B. "Moose" Bauman (Marianne McCain); her stepson Craig N. McCartney; her grandson Kyle S. Bauman (Heather); her great grandchildren, Jackson, Maya and Barrett; her granddaughter Nichole Miller; her great grandchildren, Caitlin, Liza Lillie-Anne and Faith; her stepgrandchildren, Matthew McCartney, Stephanie Griffith, Winter Warchol and Wylie Warchol; her caregiver Liz; Liz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Simon's in memory of Liz.
