He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert L. Massey and Katherine Hudson Massey. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Massey; and his children, Derryl Boyd Massey, Jr. (Miechelle), Ginger Sumrall (Mitch) and Peter Massey (Jennifer). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
