He was predeceased by: his parents, Caley Phillips and Allie Phillips; his siblings, Nadean Bradshaw, Leo Harrell, James Darwin Harrell and Peggy Jolley; and his son-in-law Michael Parnell.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Carpenter; his daughters, Teresa Parnell and Angela Erickson (Greg); his grandchildren, Brittney (Erickson), Lide (Jay) and Ben Parnell (Meagan); his great grandchild Avery Lide; and his sisters, Faye Carpenter and Deborah Blackwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
