With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Brown Ray of Pearl, Mississippi, who passed away on July 29, 2025 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ance Brown and Ollie Walker Brown; her husband Clyde Ray; and her siblings, Della Yelverton, Mazie Stewart, Olla Herrington, George Brown and Maurice Brown.
She is survived by: her son Jason Ray (Brandi); her grandson Brandon Ray; and her sister Hazel Minter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home (1360 W Government St, Brandon, MS 39042). A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Florence Cemetery (244 N Church St, Florence, MS 39073).
