Leroy left this world on December 18, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, C. N. Holmes and Bessie Gordon Wilkinson; his wife Jean Lewis Holmes; his daughter Cynthia Holmes Horton; and his son-in-law Donald Horton.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Holmes Hunt (Charles) and Steven Lewis Holmes (Rhonda). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and one brother.
