She is survived by: her children, Penny McElroy (Thomas), Charlotte Alexander (Thomas) and Tony Thompson; her sister Margaret Nicholson Nelson; her grandchildren, Trey Alexander, Jennifer Mitchell, Logan McElroy and Sarah Beth McElroy; and her great grandchildren, Joel and William McElroy.
