He is survived by: his wife Alice Smith Johnston; his son Christopher Johnston (Kristi); his sisters, Diane Johnson, Genny George and Bobbie Saxton; and his grandchildren, Ashley Phillips, Amanda Rhodes, Benjamin Johnston and Kristen Davis.
