He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Melvin Perkins and Willa Dean Rhodes Perkins; his siblings, Ralph Perkins, Ronnie Perkins, Linda Carter and Sandra Perkins; and his stepdaughter Melissa Lynn Paxton.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Massey (James), Stacey Stracener (Wayne Jimenez) and Jason Perkins; his stepdaughter Michelle Hooper Parter (Russ); his grandchildren, Chance Massey (Crystal), Jamie Massey (Khristen), Stephen Massey, Will Stracener and Polly Stracener; and his stepgrandchildren, Kristen Vanderford, Riley Ellis Ogletree (Jack), Brooklyn Paxton, Sarah Miller and Evan Ellis. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
