It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Perkins of Pelahatchie, Mississippi, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Melvin Perkins and Willa Dean Rhodes Perkins; his siblings, Ralph Perkins, Ronnie Perkins, Linda Carter and Sandra Perkins; and his stepdaughter Melissa Lynn Paxton.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Massey (James), Stacey Stracener (Wayne Jimenez) and Jason Perkins; his stepdaughter Michelle Hooper Parter (Russ); his grandchildren, Chance Massey (Crystal), Jamie Massey (Khristen), Stephen Massey, Will Stracener and Polly Stracener; and his stepgrandchildren, Kristen Vanderford, Riley Ellis Ogletree (Jack), Brooklyn Paxton, Sarah Miller and Evan Ellis. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
