We announce the death of Sherry Hood of Perkinston, Mississippi, who passed away on September 28, 2026, at the age of 72. Sherry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Wayne Hood; her sister Beth Brown; and her parents, Frankln Sharpe and Ida Sharpe. She is survived by: her children, Kevin Hood (Kwana) of Saucier and Amanda Nichols (John) of Lucedale; her brother Danny Sharpe (Billie) of Perkinston; her grandchildren, Dustin, Justin, Jessica, Caitlin and Mikayla (Nathan); and her great grandchildren, Damian, Braxton, Lamin and Layne.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Hunt-Whittington Cemetery.
