He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Ford and Ida Ford (Perkins); his siblings, Christine Ford, Teresa Ford and Morrie Ford; and his son-in-law Rev. Timothy James Sr..

He is survived by: his children, Anthony Johnson, Malcolm Ford, Sharaine Ford-James, Nia Ford, Shawn Ford and Misty Ford-Scott (Jermaine); his siblings, Ann Brady, Gracie Clark, Oscar Ford, Lessie Ford, Amos Ford Jr. and Gloria Ford; and his friends, Dr. Thomas Walker and John Earl Wilder. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of other special relatives and friends.
