She was predeceased by : her parents, JC Creel and Oleen Creel; and her brothers, Eddie Gardner, Ronnie Creel and Larry Creel.

She is survived by : her husband Mac "Buster" Byrd; her grandchildren, Cameron Bass, Jaci Price, Peri Byrd, Landunn, Mason, Brandun Patterson, Jessica Boney and Justin McKay; and her siblings, Gayle Moore Fiveash and Jerry Creel. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Parkway Baptist Church (1522 MS-42, Petal, MS 39465). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
