Glenda leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Glenda’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Glenda will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Barber and Virginia Barber; her brother Tommy Barber; and her grandson Carter Jospeh Castleman. She is survived by: her husband Frank Smith of Petal; her sons, Jeff Castleman of Hattiesburg and Joey Smith of Richton; her grandsons, Chase Michael Castleman and Cole Allan Castleman; and her siblings, Allan Barber of Tennessee, Johnny Barber of Alabama and Mary Holcomb of Alabama. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Forrest Memorial Gardens (1100 Carterville Rd, Petal, MS 39465).
