He was predeceased by: his parents, Reu Phillips and Polly Phillips; his daughters, Brenda Stubblefield and Pam Kraker; and his siblings, Colon Phillips, Herbert Phillips, Leon Phillips, Mignon Landrum and Bertha Williamson.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Allison Phillips; his children, Camala Gregg (Terry), Greg Phillips (Selena) and Stephanie Mixon (Jeremy); his brothers, Wendall Phillips and Winston Phillips; and his grandchildren, Joe Posey, Alexis Posey, Crystal Biggers (Pete), Courtney Steele (Ryan), Candra Jesse (Keith), Spencer Gregg (Morgyn), Parker Gregg, Katie Lankford (Blake), Nate Phillips, Abigail Phillips, Madison Mixon and Riley Mixon. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Moore Funeral Service - Petal (789 E Central Ave, Petal, MS 39465). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at the Forrest Memorial Gardens (1100 Carterville Rd, Petal, MS 39465).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider making a donation to the Petal First Baptist Church.
