He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Thurmond; and his parents, Ebbie Thurmond and Annie Lee Thurmond. He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Thurmond (Anna), Ronald O. Thurmond (Lisa), Bobbie Jean Thurmond and Harry J. Cormany (Lorraine); and his siblings, Ebbie Thurmond, Jim Thurmond, George Thurmond, Hilda Ratcliff, Linda Wygant and Ann Hingle. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
