We announce the death of William Gray Toney Sr. of Petal, Mississippi, who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 70. William will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. James Toney and Betty Anne Toney; his former wife Kimberly "Kim" Campbell Toney; and his brother James Franklin "Lin" Toney, Jr. (Gray). He is survived by: his wife Andrea Rainey Toney; his children, Will Toney and Alison LaVine (Erik); his stepchildren, Megan Payne (Travis), Olivia Martin (Matt) and Mitchell Carley (Shelby); his grandchildren, JD Toney, Axyl Payne, Amos Payne, Connor LaVine, Maddux Toney, Abel Martin, Noah LaVine and Hannah Martin; and his brothers, Laddie Toney (Delores) and Robby Toney (Lou). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Carterville Baptist Church (1115 Carterville Rd, Petal, MS 39465). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mississippi Organ Recovery (MORA), or Donate Life Mississippi.
