With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Albert Lee Welch of Philadelphia, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 21, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Albert Lee farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Albert Lee is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Margurite Harris and Jim Jones; and his siblings, Eddie James Harris (Shelia) and Carolyn Harris. He is survived by: his close friend Charmaine Moore (Emanuel); his daughters, Crystal Welch and Meshell Welch; and his siblings, Michael Harris (Lisa) and Julie Harris Horne (Michael). He is also survived by five grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Beck Funeral Home (10460 Rd 561, Philadelphia, MS 39350). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Nebo M. B. Church (257 Carver Ave, Philadelphia, MS 39350).
