He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Rutledge and Vira Jenkins Rutledge; and his siblings, James Rutledge (Bud), Louis Rutledge, Walter Rutledge, Willie C. Rutledge (Bill), Clarence Rutledge (Pete), Beatrice Steelman, Mary Busby and Margie Ann Rutledge.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Keeton Rutledge; his daughters, Sherry Griffin, Cindy Kennon and Mary Ann Long (Guy); and his siblings, Randy Rutledge (Diane), Ada O'Neil (Eddie) and Dorothy Johnson (Art). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great Grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Noon. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mortimer Funeral Home (301 N Hayden St, Belzoni, MS 39038).
