He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie Harlow (Randolph) and Woodrow "Bo" Harlow; his brothers, Glen Harlow and Wayne Harlow; his brother-in-law Fred Mathis (Roger Lawrence); and his nephew Jason Oliver.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Harlow; his children, Eddie Harlow, Amy Pennington (Eddie), Toby Harlow, Jennifer McCarter, Jim Harlow (Claire) and Haley Harrell (Mike); and his siblings, Brenda Martin (Johnny), Shirley Lawrence, Ronnie Harlow (Joyce), Randy Harlow (Sandra) and Joyce Mathis. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
