With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Stewart Gipson of Picayune, Mississippi, who passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Douglas Gipson; her parents, Hubert Stewart and Vera Stewart; and her siblings, Paul Stewart and Linda Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Debbie Sanford (Randy) of Hattiesburg, Randy Gipson (Rose) of Boise, ID, Darryl Gipson (Sandy) of Picayune and Wayne Gipson (Patti) of Poplarville; and her brother Billy Stewart of Brooklyn. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to 38th Avenue Baptist Church in Hattiesburg or Oak Hill Baptist Church in Poplarville.
