She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Lamar Loper and Mary Ann Ross Loper; her husband Ezra Andrew Smith; and her siblings, Jefferson Loper, Terrell Loper, Wenson Loper, Herschel Loper, Elder Billy Joe Loper, Mary Hoover Parker, Maxine Parker and Myrna Rouse.
She is survived by: her children, Glenn David "Annie" Smith, Nina "Gene" Guthrie, Mark G. "Debbie" Smith, Neal "Sherry" Smith and Deena "John" Branum; her grandchildren, Alissa Smith, Glen David, Jr., Alan Charles "Sara Catherine" Smith, Jessica "Austin" Roebuck Olivia Anne and Kassie "Curt" Hagan; her great grandchildren, Ross Alan Smith, Ella Catherine Smith, Emmarie Lane Smith, Seth Miller, Blake "Maddie" Miller, Micah Miller, Koen Smith, Hattie Ray Hagan, Havilah Ellen Hagan and Dylan Miller; her brother Elder Lamar "Doris" Loper; and her sister-in-law Alice Loper. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, church family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church (26006 Hwy 43 S, Picayune, MS 39466). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Gipson Cemetery West Union.
