He is survived by: his wife Heidi Miller Fortner; his children, Natalie Ulmer (Casey), Gary Fortner, Jr. (Rebecca), Kristofer Fortner and Matthew Fortner (Eva); his grandchildren, Abigail, Logan, Audrey, Ian, Autumn, Emilee, Gary III, Hayden, Jade, Noah, Lesleigh, Mia, Blake, Kaylee, Titus, Zoee, Madison and Austin; his great grandchildren, Logan Jr., Silas and Vivian; and his brothers, Eddie Fortner, Jr. (Diane) and Justin Fortner (Patty).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, May 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466).
