Herschel P. Spiers Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Herschel P. Spiers (Picayune, Mississippi), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 5, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Herschel P. Spiers to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandmother Barbary; his parents, Charlie Spiers and Olian Ladner Spiers; and his siblings, Charles "Junior" Spiers, Linda Ann Spiers Ladner and Elvenia Ann.
He is survived by: his wife Barbary Ann Lee Spiers; his sons, Herschel Ray Spiers (Cindy) and Ronnie Spiers (Christine); his grandchildren, Joshua Spiers (Jessica), Adam Spiers (Sarah), Brittany Spiers, Heather Frierson (Brooks) and Ashley Cantrell Holland; his great grandchildren, Alexis Frierson, Colton Frierson, Kyler Brown, Maddix Hyneman, Anniston Holland, Gavin Spiers, Easton Spiers, Colbi Frierson, Gabriel Spiers, Gracelynn Spiers, Tayten Strahan, Titan Frierson, Juliette Spiers and Gentry Spiers; and his sisters, JoRee Spiers King, Eva Lee Smith, Betty Martin (Eddie) and Nancy Ladner. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lee's Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church (27015 Leetown Rd, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spiers Cemetery (8520 Caesar Necaise Rd., Perkinston, MS 39573).
The family requests donations be made to the love offering at Lee's Chapel #2 Missionary Baptist Church.
