He was predeceased by : his parents, Hubert Roland Spiers and Allie Lewis Spiers; his son Brandon Gene Spiers; and his daughter-in-law Michelle L. Spiers. He is survived by : his wife Amelia Ann Richardson Spiers; his son Guy Spiers (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Dalton Blaine Spiers and Emma Spiers; his stepgrandchildren, Seth Orgeron and Samantha Parker; his great grandchildren, Presley Michelle Spiers, Adalynn Dale Parker and Navy Kait Orgeron; and his siblings, Allie Faye Roberts, Arnold Ross Spiers and Joseph David Spiers (Melinda). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Union Baptist Church (1628 W Union Rd, Picayune, MS 39466). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
