He was predeceased by: his father Flor Cruz Sanchez; his former wife Catherine "Cathy" James Cruz; his daughter Alicia Cruz; and his sister Gladys Cruz. He is survived by: his wife Linda Delaughter Cruz; his daughter Maria Cruz Rivers (Ruffas); and his brothers, Robert Cruz, William Cruz and Flor Cruz, Jr.. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
