He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John Lewis Alverson, Jewell Vandiver, Earlie and Johnie Irvin; and his father James E. Alverson.
He is survived by: his mother Wanda Faye Alverson of Biloxi, MS; his sons, Brad Alverson of San Antonio, TX and James Alverson (Heather) of Austin, TX; his sisters, Deborah Kaye Alverson of Latimer, MS and Lola Ann Gruich (Tommy); his grandchildren, Dahlia Blu Alverson of San Antonio, TX and Palmer Alverson of Austin, TX; his nephews, Max Gruich, Charlie Nichols and Luke Gruich; and his niece Shiann Cannaday. He is also survived by aunts, uncles and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family ask to donate to the Fisher House of Keesler Air Force Base, Fisherhouse.org.
