He was predeceased by : his parents, Alexander Marcke and Adrianne Van Marcke; his wife Lucille Van Marcke; and his stepmother Rachel Van Marcke. He is survived by : his son Scott Joseph Van Marcke (Mary Van Marcke); and his grandsons, Devin Van Marcke and Kyle Van Marcke (Harlie Van Marcke).

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the New Palestine Baptist Church (2336 Palestine Rd, Picayune, MS 39466). A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
