With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Van Geddings Sr. of Picayune, Mississippi, born in Paxville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Ray Geddings and Eva Geddings Bradsher; and his brothers, Buddy Geddings and Donald Ray Geddings, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn VanBuskirk Geddings; his children, Larry V. Geddings (Stephanie), Melissa Rushing (Jason), Jonathan Geddings (Ellie) and Jason Geddings (Dalia); his grandchildren, Brianna Bailey (Sean), Grace Geddings, Tori Rushing, Victoria Geddings, Raphael Geddings, Gabriel Geddings, Annabelle Luebe (Arturo Castaneda), Ethan Geddings and Sebastian Geddings; his great grandchildren, Oliver, Sophia and Mateo; and his sisters, Penny Brown and Marie Davis (Lee). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (401 W Canal St, Picayune, MS 39466). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
