He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dufrene and Ella Gros Dufrene; his mother-in-law Gwendolyn Dufrene; the mother of his child Judith Ann Dufrene; his brother Robert Hilton Dufrene (Janette); his brother-in-law William "Billy" Lemen; his stepsons, Newton Whitfield, Jr. and Arthur Whitfield; and his stepgrandson Christopher Crumby.
He is survived by: his son Ronald A. Dufrene, Sr.; his sister Irene Lemen; his grandchildren, Ronald A. Dufrene, Jr., Rori Ann Phillips (Norwood) and Randon A. Dufrene (Jena); his great grandchildren, Ronald A. Dufrene, III, Regan A. Dufrene, Rowan A. Dufrene, Evan Phillips, Gracie Rose Phillips, Reid Steven Phillips, Wilson J. Dufrene, Andrus A. Dufrene and Mary L. Dufrene; his stepdaughter-in-law Jean Whitfield; his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Whitfield (Heather), Candice W. Sofranko, Bridgette Carter (Doug), Troy Whitfield, Brittany Whitfield, Brandon Giroir (Angie), Stacey Rodriguez and Christina Norman (John); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Alexis Whitfield, Alivia Whitfield, Kimberly Carter, Roy Carter, Anna Whitfield, Arthur Whitfield, Whitney Carter, Chance Whitfield, Julia Whitfield, Brooks Whitfield, Jack Whitfield, Porter Sofranko, Zoe Sofranko, Noah Giroir, Nathan Giroir, Nicholas Giroir, Nolan Giroir, Aliyah Kouma, Kaylee Norman, Sophia Norman, Gabby Rutecki, Braelyn Rutecki and Harley Rutecki.
