He is survived by : his siblings, Sue Hamilton, Grady Smith Jr. and David Bryan Smith (Pam); his niece Carly Dill (Corey); his nephews, Mark Hamilton (Vicky), Michael Hamilton, Garrett Smith (Stephanie), Adam Smith (Brandi), Shawn Smith (Beth) and Jason Smith; and his former life partner Nancy Cutrer. He is also survived by numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
