She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Howell and Jessie Ranager Howell; her husband Gary Wayne Uzel, Sr.; her son Timothy Jay Uzel; and her siblings, Ralph Howell, Ronald Howell and Lucy Cowart.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Uzel (Dana) and Anita Besanson (Rusty); her grandchildren, Darren Uzel (Kelli), Danielle Uzel Krumm, Elizabeth Grissett (Dalton), Rebecca Malone (Tyler), Meredith Perry (Tyler), Jessie Lewis (Stevie) and Jacob Besanson (Denae); her sister Kay Merritt; Connie Uzel. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church (34 Pine Grove Rd, Picayune, MS 39466). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery (34 Pine Grove Rd, Picayune, MS 39466). A graveside service was held on Friday, June 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
