Vera E. Necaise Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera E. Necaise of Picayune, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Julius Penton, Sr. and Mary Louise Daws Penton; her children, Leslie Sheridan, Ilene Provost and Brian Sheridan; and her siblings, Herman Penton, Sam Penton, Betty Lerch (Bill) and Ida Provost.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn Singletary (Richard), Wade Sheridan, Marylou Malone and Andrea Sheridan; her grandchildren, Daryl, Aaron, Michael, Marie, Lezlie, Tennille, Missy and Andrea; and her brother Charles Penton. She is also survived by her 23 great grandchildren; her 15 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the New Life Baptist Church (6019 Rd 312, Kiln, MS 39556). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Catahoula Cemetery (22140 MS-43, Picayune, MS 39466).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to New Life Baptist Church at 6019 Rd. 312, Kiln, MS 39556.
