He was predeceased by : his wife Betty McDaniel; his son-in-law Mike Cochran; and his siblings, Earl McDaniel Walter McDaniel, Wayne McDaniel, Buford McDaniel, Jr., Mary Fitzgerald, Merle Kelty, Mozelle Cain and Edith Hand.

He is survived by : his daughters, Elaine Cochran of Pickens and Sandra Horne (Rick) of Madison; his sister Helen Jordan (Cordis) of Shuqualak; his granddaughter Heather Walker (Bob) of Cleveland; and his great grandchild Robert "Bo" Clark.
