He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Buddy" Riley Maples and Mae Bell Keeton Maples; his wife Anita Maples; his granddaughter Elizabeth Holcomb; and his sister Julie Ann Holcomb.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Owen Holcomb (Teresa) of Tupelo and Jimmy Allen Holcomb of Tupelo; his brother Henry Maples of Nettleton; and his nephews, Rocky Roper (Lisa) and Robby Roper (Kendal Coggin). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren.
