He is survived by : his wife Virginia Smithey; his children, Teresah Ponders Caire (Albert) of Tylertown, MS, Gene Ponders of Brewer, Randle of Plantersville and Johnny Ponders of Plantersville; his grandsons, James Caire (Claire) and Jason Caire (Jennifer); his great grandchildren, Jillian, Sawyer, Jana and Jacob Caire; his daughter Cynthia Ann Ponders; and his siblings, James Ponders, Joanne Ponders (Morgan), Ruth Ponders (Johnson) and Mary Opal Ponders.
