She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Bell and Frankie Mae Bell; and her siblings, Lola Mae Strayhorn, Clyde Bell, Jr. (Buddy), James Murphy Bell, Joe Phillip Bell and Benjamin Franklin Bell.
She is survived by: her sister Shirley Bell James; her children, Gloria Holland (Leon), Jacqueline Shumpert, Jacquelyn Catledge, Sharon Franklin (Talvis), Raymond Shumpert, Gerald Shumpert and Steve Shumpert; and her close friend Eppie Whitfield. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grayson-Porter's Mortuary (401 N Spring St, Tupelo, MS 38802). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Chapel United Methodist Church (203 Poplar St, Plantersville, MS 38862).
