She was predeceased by: her parents, Murdes Brown and Ophelia Faulkner Brown; her husband Jerald Swords; her brother Larry Brown; her daughter Annalyn Clayton Dunn; and her grandson Christopher Clayton.
She is survived by: her daughter Allyson Mitchell (David) of Corinth; her siblings, Ross Brown (Starr) of Pontotoc, Claudia Jackson (Jimmy) of Tupelo and Carolyn Mason of Tupelo; her grandchildren, Grady Mitchell, Jessy Mitchell, Bo Mitchell, Vanessa Bullard and Tommy Clayton; and her close friend Kay Bain.
