She was predeceased by: her parents, Berry Jackson Tedford and Thelma Marie "Jo" Prater Tedford; and her siblings, Sherry Collins, Mary Tedford, Jack Tedford and Lee Tedford.

She is survived by: her husband Terry Dowdy; her children, Tracy Crawford (Rick), Adam Dowdy (Brittney), Sam Self (Amanda) and Jerry Washington (Noel); her siblings, Pauline Leyland, Krystal Evans, Neal Tedford and Mark Tedford; her grandchildren, Ben Dowdy, Anna Catherine Crawford, Jackson Crawford of Chloe Crawford, A. J, Emma Belue, Treston Belue, Isaac Self, Reid Self, Olivia Washington, Reese Washington, Jake Washington, Maddie Washington and Katie Washington; and her great grandchild Crew Dowdy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Browning Funeral Home Chapel (141 W Oxford St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
