It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Thurman Cruse Sr. of Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on July 8, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Cruse and Prudell Owen Cruse; and his siblings, Marie Huey, Buddy Cruse, Fuzzy Cruse, Opal McCoy, Helen Cruse, Boyd Cruse, Freddie Walker and Carolyn Thomas.
He is survived by: his significant other Alice Cruse; his children, Jimmy Cruse (Linda) and Sherry Williams (Ricky); his sister Neva Nash; and his grandchildren, Kayla Snider (Will), Anna Claire McCary, Sara Beth Hardman (John), Dylan Cruse, Jessica Mann (Rick), Maegan Garrison (Chase), Jacob Stokes (Alex), Ashley Johnson (Bryan) and Bradley Tucker (Nora). He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
