He was predeceased by: his parents, Omer Shappley and Polly Smith Shappley; his wife Anny Shappley; and his siblings, Russell Shappley, Perrin Shappley, Sr., Mamie Lee Shappley and Catherine Shappley.
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Pete Ketchum, Leatrice Wilbanks and Linda Rogers. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
