She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Fleetwood and Lorene Scruggs Holcomb; her husband William "Buddy" Parks; her daughter Mary Evelyn Monts; and her siblings, Vera Thompson, Gertrude Nicholson, Verna McCord, Curtis Holcomb, Thelma Caldwell and Dewitt Holcomb. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
