He was predeceased by: his daughters, Angela Harlow, Rebecca Swanson and Carrie Swanson; his parents, Powell Swanson and Mary Magdalene Swanson; his siblings, Winston Ray Swanson, Eugene Swanson, Wondalene Dodson, Maxine Canerdy and Powelette Swanson; his grandson Chase Ward; and the mother of his children Jeanette Pettit Swanson.
He is survived by: his children, Teresa Colburn and Casey Swanson; and his grandchildren, Reed Harlow, Crystal Blake (Jason), Mason Hester (Amanda), Tiffany Whitaker (Jimmy), Summer McGee (Hunter), Savannah Eaton, Vincent Conlee, Jazlyn Eaton, Brittany Mejia (Osvaldo) and Ashley Swanson. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Tutor Memorial Funeral Home (270 Coffee St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
