He was predeceased by: his parents, Rubal Calvin Davis and Jackie Nell Patton Williams; his brother Gayle Davis; and his nephew Hugh Daniel Davis. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Davis of Pontotoc; his children, Tonya Richardson (Alan) and Marty "Mark" Davis Jr. (Amy); his stepchildren, Bridget Porter (Jody) and Jason Willard (Emily); and his sister Sue Kinsey Stokes. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
