With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Stroup Ruth of Pontotoc, Mississippi, who passed away on January 12, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Rachel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Rachel farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester LeVon and Vera Saxon Stroup; and her former husband James Robert Ruth of Pontotoc. She is survived by: her friends, Allye Webb Huey and Adele Cruse; her husband Victory Baptist Church; her daughter Wannie Welch (Len); and her grandson Robert Welch (Misty).
