It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Renee Hereford (Pontotoc, Mississippi), who passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Prude and Luecella Hamilton Prude; her brothers, Henry, Melvin and Lenard Prude; and her mother-in-law Lura Hereford.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Hereford of Tupelo, MS; her children, Antwon Hereford of Huntsville, AL, Corey Hereford (Deirdra) of Alpharetta, GA and Ashley Hereford (Shea) of Canton, GA; her grandchildren, Damion (Tierra), KiJana, Corey II, Akailee, Jada, Keilan and Zane; her great grandchildren, Madison and Roman; her siblings, Patricia Pounds of Sherman, MS and Andre Prude (Valerie) of Montgomery, AL; her siblings-in-law, James Hereford (Stacey) of Tupelo, MS, Lura Freeman of Tupelo, MS and Kimberly D. Paul (Larry) of Canton, GA.; her nephew Myron; and her niece Mary Hereford. She is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Payton Mortuary (262 E Oxford St, Pontotoc, MS 38863). Viewing will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church (2840 Willie Moore Rd, Tupelo, MS 38801). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
