It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Eugene Coffey of Pontotoc, Mississippi, born in Union County, Mississippi, who passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Lynn Coker Coffey; his parents, Guy E. "Buster" Coffey and Maveline Gray Coffey; and his brother Milton Coffey. He is survived by: his daughters, Gretta Sims (Chuck) and Suzanne Waldrop (Bill); his brothers, Larry Coffey (Ann) and Jerry Coffey (Susan); his sister-in-law Holly Coffey (Milton); his grandchildren, Jordan Goolsby Moore, Chase Sims (Betsy), Courtney Shaw (Ben), Scout Waldrop and Ashton Waldrop (Emma); and his great grandchildren, Lynlee, Rylee Randall, Steeley, Jack, Rolan, Stella, Eloise, Lucy and Linden.
