He was predeceased by: his former wife Alice Faye Newton; his parents, John Thomas and Ida Mae Newton; and his siblings, Billy, John Wayne Newton and Bobbie Jewel Newton.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Ware Newton of Pontotoc, MS; his sister Sharon Privett of Gautier, MS; his daughter Angela Renee Smyly; his son-in-law John Smyly of Pontotoc, MS; his son Terry E. Newton, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Vickie Newton of Greenville, MS; his granddaughter Emily Lal (Jason Lal) of Brandon, MS; his brothers, Brian, Matthew Smyly of Pontotoc, MS and Shelton Newton (Caitlyn Newton) of Teasdale, MS; and his great grandchildren, Kathryn McKenzie Lal, John Raymond Newton, Gracie Newton and Landon Newton.
